'Telos' concept car

I know it's ugly - it's an engineering concept more than an artistic one, but bear with me...

This is my most current of four 3D projects I am working on. This is a 3D concept for a futuristic mid-engine, super-lightweight roadster.

In theory the space removed from the nose of the car - eliminating any trunk space altogether to save weight - would help it achieve low mass and better handling & chassis rigidity.

The spoiler necessary to maintain grip at high speeds has been placed at the trailing roofline, as modern vehicle design studies (Subaru's Tehcnical Institute, for example) suggest that this is an idea place to mount a downforce generating airfoil.

Air intakes have been placed over the roofline's trailing edge to accomodate dual-independent throttle bodies for either bank of cylinders. Halogen headlights and neon/EL-wire turn signals have been added over the last few weeks.

The concept also includes a multi-piece rear diffuser to clean up airflow under the car, as well as brake cooling ducts taking in air on the inside of either fender well at the nose.
